Nocturnes is a diptych of installations-performances playing with mist, light and sound.
Nocturne #1 – Sediments was premiered on March 26th 2013 in Albi, for the GMEA‘s Journées Électriques.
Nocturne #2 – Tumbleweed was premiered on February 7th 2014 at the Phénix‘s Cabarets de curiosité.
Within this sensory artwork, reverie follows the movement of an ever-changing ephemeral sculpture: mist can form abstract images, but also be perceived as tangible matter, or even humidity on the skin.
Faced with this mutating landscape, the spectator is invited to daydream and drift into contemplation of pure movement.
In the motion of the mist, the spectator may see himself seeing, hear himself hearing, feel himself feeling… at the very moment when he is no longer able to name what he sees or what he thinks he sees.
